Outlook 2007 Stays on Top

Hi,

If I open an email, it doesn't show. Outlook stays on top. Doing Alt + Tab
or clicking on the Taskbar doesn't help. I have to manually minimize Outlook
to see the email.

Hey! I just noticed that other programs, such as IE7, also won't show until
I minimize Outlook. This behavior just started. I did have some Microsoft
updates installed this week.

Any ideas how to fix this behavior?

You wouldn't happen to be using Plaxo, would you? It's known to cause this
behaviour.

Does the behaviour persist if you open Outlook in safe mode? Start > Run >
outlook.exe /safe

If it doesn't, check your Add Ins and COMs. Remove them all then add them
back one by one, testing inbetween.

Not using Plaxo.

Did not happen in Safe Mode.

Disabled a bunch of Add-Ins and the behavior stopped!

Enabled Add-Ins one-by-one and the behavior never came back!

At least I'll know what to do if it happens again.
