Incredibly slow, preview frame doesn't work within 3-5 minutes of starting
Outlook, curser jumps around and computer bogs down...I think I've tried
everything. I see the question asked over and over again, but there don't
seem to be any real fixes.
1. Disabled all add-ins that Outlook allowed me to disable (some it won't
allow me to disable)
2. Renamed various .dat files to .old
3. Deleted old emails and created new .psts
4. Ran scanpst against all pst files
5. Divided pst files into smaller pst files (all under 1GB)
6. Recreated Outlook profile from scratch (helped for about 5 minutes before
bogging down again)
7. Not Running Windows Sidebar
8. Disabled Windows Indexing program
9. No RSS feeds
10. Removed all but small core .pst, just to see (still no improvement)
Whe I run in safe mode, it works better, but that's not a real solution. I'm
not sure what else I can try. I've scoured discussion boards for
ideas...tried them all.
My machine: Brand new laptop (virtually empty 200GB HD), with Intel T9300
2.5Ghz, 4GB RAM, Vista
Any suggestions...any word from microsoft on a real fix?
