outlook 2007, strange behaviour

B

brucebb

I have posted elsewhere but this fits better under this section:

Every 5 or so second whilst in outlook (mail, calendar and all
sections) the cursor arrow fluctuates very quickly with the egg timer
icon for a few seconds. During this time I can't click the cursor into
any function and have to wait for the fluctuation to end.

I think this has happened since I imported my address book from my
previous laptop but it may have been happening before.

Thinking this may be something to do with business contact manager I
have uninstalled it, reinstalled outlook again but the same very
annoying thing happens.

it is almost as if the computer is searching for something or carring
out some function every 5 seconds or so.

Any help to put me out of my misery would be gratefully received.

Is Windows indexing your Outook files?

Let it keep indexing. You will be glad when it is finished. The search
function is then lightning fast.
