OUTLOOK 2007 SUPER SLOW

I really need support here:

running vista, 2gb ram, 160 gb hd, "upgraded" to Office 2007.

Outlook literallly crawls - completely unusable - unless I run in safe
mode and then it is fine.

I also cannot run chkdsk no matter how I try and I do not know if
these are related problems or not.

I have applied SP1 for office, gotten my pst file under 1gb, tried
everything I have found on every board and nothing seems to make any
difference. Like I said if I run Outlook in safe mode everything is
dandy but that seems a little pathetic.

Any ideas?

Sounds like an add-in interfering. What add-ins do you have installed?

only the add ins that I can't shut off - the Mircrosoft ones that I
get an HKEY_LOCAL_REGISTRY error when I try to remove - do you need to
know the specific ones?

and now the Search Indexer has stopped working and I get the annoying
pop up window every 5 minutes....

Have you tried a new mail profile?
