Outlook 2007 Task catagories

We are using outlook 2007 around the office and are unable to add a catagory
to someone elses task list that they do not already have. IE. we would like
to add a task to someones list that is labeled Service and have it show up
there under the same color and Service catagory, is this possible?

Since the category colors and labels are part of the user's mailbox settings, only the mailbox owner can change them. If you add a task to your own folder, then move it to the other user's folder, it should have the Service category -- it just won't have a special color.

Sue, are those colors and categories global to a given user? That is, do
they apply to all Outlook functions -- Mail, Contacts, Tasks, etc.?

I certainly hope not: I would group my task by type, very differently from
the way I categorize contacts.

Yes, there's a single list, but nothing to force you to use the same categories on different types of items.
