Hello All,
I am setting up a new computer for my wife (works from home as a tele
commuter). She had been using Win XP Pro, MS Office 2002, and outlook
express on her old system. New system is Win Vista home Premium, and MS
Office 2007 . Office 2007 is a full version installed from stand alone
disks. After researching the MS office and Outlook newsgroups the transition
went well with minimal problems on the move. For that I want to take this
moment to thank all here for all of your assistance even though I did not
ask any questions. It seems almost all was asked in the previous months or
so posts!
She never used Outlook before as OE did everything she needed. However
she now needs to use Outlook 2007 for work reasons. She has multiple e-mail
accounts that all work properly on the new system. The biggest annoyance
seems to be unread e-mail. As it is downloaded into her various folders the
sub folders will not expand as they do in OE. From the answers in the groups
here I find they they will not, maybe depending on folder permissions, or if
the "outlook Gods" allow will. Another Suggested as an answer to a similar
problem using categories. I supply all this in my hopes of not receiving
"more info needed".
Ok, Now the question. Is there a solution that will auto expand the
unread folders and subfolders? If not, am I not the only one who would like
to see this feature in Outlook? If so please put my vote in for this. After
all, OE does it along with it's replacement, windows mail.
TIA
