We have a few computers that is experiencing this same scenario.
Periodically when running Outlook 2007 with BCM it appears when it sends and
receives Outlook will lock up and one of the emails in the "in box" will
blink or flicker at you. It appears that while i was surfing there are quite
a few people experiencing the same thing. we are running on XP Professional
w/service pack 3. However on some threads it seems it is not exclusive to a
OS.
We reduced the .pst file size to 1.5 GB - but that doesn't seem to help
either. I did the repair feature within Outlook several times and nothing is
wrong or needs to be repaired. Once Outlook starts doing this you have only
two options a) wait for quite some time until it possible will stop
flickering (this doesn't always work) or b) press CTL / ALT / Del and End
Task. We are able to then re-open Outlook and it will work for a short time
and then repeat this action throughout the day.
The system has been checked for viruses and is clean on any system this
occurs on.
Have also tried the following;
1. Highlight the Inbox in the Mail Folders
2. Right click and select properties
3. Uncheck Automotically Generate Microsoft Exchange Views
It might work. If not change it back.
Any suggestions? this is very frustrating to say the least!
