outlook 2007 with BCM - BCM query

In the BCM am trying to change the opportunities current view. I have added
my own fields successfully but when I add one of the default fields
"contacts" it allows me the add this to the view but nothing shows in the
field? This happens with several default fields? Why?

Are these Contact fields or fields from other types of items? Outlook
sometimes allows you to add a field to the view even though it's not used by
items in the current folder.

First of all thanks Sue for the response.

The field is entitled "company" and is used on the account folder.
I am working in the opportunity view and want to use this field so I can
search for the Client and his/her company. I understand I cannot use this
field when I create a new opportunity as it is already used in the new
account folder, but shorly I can use it to view and search against in any
view?
