Outlook 2007 with BCM - Out of Memory

I recently added Business Contact Manager 2007 to Outlook 2007 and initially
worked. After installing Office Service Pack 2 I received out of memory
errors. If I clicked on a certain folders it would say "could not view
folder, out of memory". I have a current fast dual core, 4 gig of ram and
plenty of hard drive space. All other programs do not experience the
problem. I opened up 20 of them at once with no problems. I am using a shared
database on a server running Server 2003. BCM is set to snyc with the local
SQL server that it installs. If I pull the BCM off, outlook is fine. I have
tried some of the other suggestions, but no luck.. Anyone have an Idea ?

You are not the only person with SP2 Out of Memory Problems! Not only
Outlook is affected but also access.

Unfortunatly there is no solution available

I can imagine the chaos this has created. I could deal with it better if they
just admitted it somewhere and siad they are working on it.

Disable components of BCM from components add-in, restart outlook.

True, but outlook for the rest can continue to function (source microsoft
nederland). Microsoft does not have a specific solution to the bcm.

Bye George.

At first I had it running fine, downloaded service pack 2 and it crashed
while opening every time. I would remove BCM completely and then out look was
fine. After trying several conbinations of Office Service Pack 2 and BCM
service pack 2 it now crashes with BCM and will not work. I found some know
issue statements of which I had one with Web Components 2003 still lingering
around, removed, but still no progress

By the way, This is basically a fresh Vista/office 2007 business installation
of maybe 2 weeks with very little loaded on it besides Adobe CS3 Suite.

On my machine I have disabled bcm and the error memory is no longer there.
Now I see all folders and my mail is returned to work.

bye George.

Hi George,

Well done for being able to do that - how do I disable BCM please?

Thanks
Dave

There is another thread highlighting the same issue here:
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...fe4-af74-face7a22be15&lang=en&cr=US&sloc=&p=1

In the meantime here is my input there;
Friend of mine mentioned he may be able to get my BCM contacts back - so I
guessed it was a database existing on my machine which is Vista 32 with 4GB
memory and plenty of disc space.

Having already run the non-uninstallable Vista SP2 update and lost
functionality of BCM I previously stripped out my BCM leaving me with just
Outlook 2007.

Today I tried re-installing BCM - and yes - it found my database and
contacts - WOOPPEEE!

SADLY!!! - no sooner had it finished installing, registering and settling
down - the first folder I chose to open caused the now usual "not enough
memory" message and failure to function.

I have uninstalled it again and Outlook 2007 is now functioning safely again.

So - Microsoft - please can you supply me with a fix to iether the SP2 which
you broke in your latest update - or give me a more recent copy of BCM -
(which I also paid for) that will work with Vista SP2...

Question: I have several friends who have "upgraded" if that is the term to
windows 7 and they really rate it. Would I regain my BCM functionality if I
went and installed W7? Anyone know or care to hazzard a guess?

Dave
