Outlook 2007 with Office 2003 - previewers

We installed Outlook 2007 because of the new features available but didnt
want to spend the money to upgrade the rest of Office because the
functionality with the other programs is fine. After install the previewers
for Word and Excel were working (we think). We installed Adobe Reader 8.1 to
gain PDF previewing and now we can't preview Word or Excel. Does this sound
correct? Does Outlook 2007 by itself install previewers for Word and Excel?
If not, are they downloadable?
