Outlook 2007 with Vista - Freeze when typing an email - HELP !

Myself and a colleague both have the same identical setup which is Dell
Laptop, running Vista with Office 2007. When typing emails we are both
finding that Outlook occasionally freezes (at least 6 times today !). The
mouse cursor disappears, but if you position the mouse at the bottom tool
bar, it re-appears. If you ALT Tab to another application, the mouse is
visible and working. The only way to close out of Outlook is to End Task. You
then lose the content of the email that you had typed. VERY frustrating. Does
anyone have any ideas ? Thanks in advance...

I'm running Outlook 2007 with Vista and I have the same problem. It
seems to occur when Outllok checks for new mail. Any ideas or
solutions anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

We are now 95% sure that our issue is caused by an 'Add In' fom a product
called 'Sharecalendar' from 4Team Corporation. We use this to share our
Outlook calendars as we do not have Exchange server. Not sure if you also
have sharecalendar, but you may want to look into removing any other COM Add
Ins (go to Tools, Trust Centre, Add Ins, Click 'Go' at the bottom of the
screen and then un-tick any 3rd party Add Ins. It seems to have helped us,
although we really do need to Sharecalendars - Anyone know of any other
software that will allow us to do this without Exchange Server ?(we are in
differnt parts of the UK an need to see each others Calendar for
appointments).

Well, I just posted having this exact same problem. Outlook 2007
freezes on send/recieve. And I just noted the freeze when creating a
new message. This is very annoying and I do not have the addin you
mention.
I wonder if myblackff... has the addin.

I tried the following about an hour ago, and so far the computer has
not frozen, even when I send messages. The post is from
http://arnulfowing.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html

"Shut down Outlook 2007, then I renamed the following files:
"C:\Users\awing\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\extend.dat" [to
extend.old]
"C:\Users\awing\AppData\Local\Microsoft\FORMS\FRMCACHE.dat" [to
frmCache.old]
Open Outlook 2007 back, and now it seems to be working fine again. I
have not experienced any more Not Responding hang ups."
