Hi
I have a Vista Ultimate workstation running office 2007 (oodles of
memory/hard drive space)
since Saturday of this week - outlook will run for about 20 hours and then
it stops checking/sending mail - even manually it won't pull anything down
the only way to make it pull down mail is to shut outlook down and restart it
(have tried taking it offline and putting it back on does not work) have run
office diagnostics (finds nothing) have reinstalled office 2007 - same
results (have done this numerous times) - have registry mechanic - it does
not correct it either, have run scan pst the data file is fine
pst file is small (I archive after three months) have numerous POP3 accounts
(about 12 of them) lots of rules - but in prior versions this was not a
problem or an issue
second issue the only graceful way to shut down outlook is to let windows do
it - if you choose to shut it down (outlook) it auto reboots (not all the
time but most of the time) and checks the data file OR if you just reopen
outlook - it goes through and checks the data file (saying it was not shut
down properly)
ok - email is vital - its what I need to work - I have run out of ideas am
hoping that you might have some - these both sound like application problems
and not pst file issues - but could be wrong - sure hope you have some
suggestions
many thanks in advance
Patrice
