Outlook 2007 won't import Address book from Outlook 2003

Recently installed Vista Ultimate on a Dell Inspiron 8600 with 1 Gig of Ram
and a Celeron M processor.
Problem: Outlook 2007 won't allow me to set my Contacts as my address book.
Box is greyed out and I cannot check the radio box to make my Contacts my
address book for email.

Please advise on a workaround.

If you used the import function to transfer Outlook data then you probably
corrupted your profile. This is one of the main reasons that import is
discouraged in this group almost on a daily basis.
Do you still have a copy of the Outlook 2003 pst file? if you do, then
create a new Outlook profile (Control panel-mail-Show profiles). Open
outlook in the new profile and then do File-open-Outlook Data File. Copy the
data to the new pst file, or, if the Outlook 2003 pst file was in the new
format, just set that as the default delivery location and use that.

Thanks Gordon but here's a clarification:
I didn't import the .pst filen on its own; I used the Vista MigWiz on the
old hard drive and on the new one to import the files and settings. Is that
the same issue because I thought I would avoid problems using the MS transfer
software.

Question 1: Can I just make a backup of the current Outlook 2007 Contacts as
a .pst file and then try and save that as an address book?
Question 2: If I do the new profile, what happens to all the mail etc. that
I have in my Outlook 2007 under my current profile? Will I lose any of that
material?
Question 3: Why doesn't the Vista MigWiz just work? (Ok, that's like asking
why there is injustice in the world! ;-))

I appreciate your timely help.

I apologize if this is a repeat but the message I just sent back simply
disappeared.

1. I used the Vista MigWiz on both computers to migrate the settings from
the old one to the new one. Why didn't that just work?
2. If I open a new profile in Outlook 2007 according to your fix, will I
lose my email, calendar and contact information that I have updated since the
switch to Vista?

Thanks for the speedy reply and I'm sorry if this gets duplicated.
