Outlook 2007 won't open in XP after updates

The machines that have Outlook 2003 cannot find the pathway to the network
server but after manually resetting them they are fine. Outlook 2007 cannot
find the pathway and just shuts down. How can I force Outlook 2007 to the
correct pathway when it closes automatically?
