Outlook 2007 won't start after Windows 7 upgrade

I have recently upgraded from Windows Vista Business to Windows 7 Business.
Now the upgrade is finished, I am unable to start Outlook 2007. The error
messages start with 'File access is denied. You do not have the permission
required to access the file C:\...\outlook.ost'. The final message is 'Cannot
start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of
folders cannot be opened.' I uninstalled Business Contact Manager 2007 but
this had no benefit. I have also tried to repair and re-install the Office
2007 installation.

I have tried deleting and moving the .ost file but there always seems to be
an issue with permissions and so it makes no difference. I have checked the
file read/write properties but these are OK.

I just cannot get Outlook started.
Please help!

An ost file is either an Exchange off-line file or an IMAP account file.
Try creating a new Mail Profile and re-adding the mail account...

Hi there.

Start->run..then type the following -> "Outlook.exe /resetnavpane"

Should solve your problem.
