Outlook 2007

I having a problem with the Beta 2 version of Outlook 2007. I am unable to
create a profile. When I hit the "check name" button to resolve my account I
get an error. I have tried this with some others and it works fine. In
fact, one guy let me log on to his computer, and try to create the profile
there and it worked. Also, when I logged on to my computer with a different
account it works. Here's some info on my environment:

Laptop is Windows XP SP2
I have 2 logons, one is non mailbox-enabled account that is a domain admin,
and the other is my mailbox account that is not a domain admin. I usually
use the domain admin one on the laptop in case I need to run something that
requres domain admin access. This arrangement worked fine with Outlook 2003.

I have removed and reinstalled Office twice already.

It seems to be a problem with whatever triggers the logon screen when you
try to create a profile that doesn't match the account you logged on to the
machine with. When I have tested this on other user's computer, and I try to
create a profile to my mailbox, there is a logon prompt that comes up, but on
my computer that doesn't happen.

Hey Robert,
You can backup the profiles key and delete or rename it adn when you
open outlook, the registry key will be created.

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging
Subsystem\Profiles

I tried this and creating a brand new profile from within the Outlook dialog
seems to work, but using the Control Panel applet, or right clicking on the
Outlook icon and choosing properties still does not work. I guess somehow
that particular profile got corrupted.

Anyway, I still find it strange that you can't create a new profile from
either of those other locations.

Thanks for at least steering me in the right direction.
