outlook 2007

i have created a back up pst file form outlook 2007 and am trying to restore
into another laptop with outlook 2007. the file is 5gb ish. i keep getting
error message a data file did not close properly the last time it was used
and is being checked for problems . performance might be affected while the
check is in progress. how do i fix this, has anyone had this problem?

Start with running ScanPST.EXE on that PST file to see if the damage can be
corrected while Outlook isn't running
