i am a home user,i don't belong to a domain or business network.
i am asking the question because outlook takes a lot of resources of my
system, and it slows it down.
i have turned the email notification on,but outlook must be running to get
the notifications.
i am a home user.
notification is on,and i do get notified but outlook must be running.
i would like if its possible to receive these notifications without having
to start outlook, like it was hapenning with one of the older versions(outlook
2000 i think it was)

Can you edit a Word document without opening Word? Can you calculate a
spreadsheet without opening Excel? Can you use a computer with the power
off? Naturally, in order for Outlook to perform its function, it must be
running.
