Outlook 2007

Outlook will not open. I then do crtl-alt-delete and end the Outlook.Exe
process.
when I reopen outlook it goes into safe mode.

do I need to mess with the pst file? should I reinstall OUtlook from my CD?
what is the best approach and why would this happen?

I would try running a repair on outlook, if that doesnt work then reinstall.
