Outlook 2007

I have been saving my emails to a file in .msg format. This was the only
format that would show the attachments. What I have now discovered is that
when I go to a saved email in my documents folder and I open it, it shows up
just like an email in Outlook but when I try to open the attachment it tells
me that the object can not be found. Can someone tell me if there is a way
to remedy this or if I am doing something wrong when I am saving? I need to
be able to access the attachments of these saved files. Please advise - any
help would be appreciated.

Not an answer as such, but why are you saving as .msg files in the first
place?

Gordon,

When I went to save my emails this format was the only one that showed the
attachments. The other formats don't seem to even offer the ability to save
the attachments with the original message. Please let me know if there is a
better way.

Thanks.

Why not just keep them in the pst file that Outlook is already using?

Can I access that file on a daily basis? I erase my emails after I have
completed with them. Hence why I save them to a file. It is easier to
catalog this way. Please advise.

If you use Outlook in a stand alone setting then your emails are already
stored on your HDD in a pst file. there's no need to save them outside of
Outlook.

Why erase them if you will need to access them again? What do you mean by
"catalog"? Use folders in the PST to organize your messages.
