Outlook 2010 backward compatibility

I installed/am running/am happy W Office 2010 Beta. I chose not to remove
Office 2007. Here is a suggestion:

Outlook (OL) 2010 appears to have versioned my .ost(?) file to 2010: when
opening in OL 2007 a warning appears about "functionality issues associated
with opening the 2010 file with 2007." While not a problem in itself, the
version should be seamlessly backward-compatible (or offer the option).
