Outlook 2010 - how to remove From field

I have been trying to stop the From field to show when I create a new email
in Outlook 2010.

When I go the options tab - I have only the BCC field button to
enable/disable the BCC field.

I created a custom group in the ribbon and added the 'from field' button.
When creating a new email, the button is dispalyed but it is disabled! How do
I get rid of the From field

To what view are you referring?
Why do you think you would accomplish anything by doing this? It will have
no bearing on what the recipient sees.

You cannot remove that field when you are using Exchange or have multiple
accounts configured.
This is in order to replace the Accounts button and to reduce confusion when
using Exchange with delegated mailbox access. By having the From field
always visible, it is clearer how the message will be stamped when being
sent.

Thanks.
I just have my exchange account and a 'live meeting transport' account setup.
No delegation.
Is there no way to disable it then? This is just really annoying on a laptop
screen as it takes a full line and reduces the size of the 'writing' area.

Thanks.

No, you cannot disable it then. To save some space you can minimize the
Ribbon, but you've probably had done that already.
