Outlook 2K freezing on Japanese characters.

This is a problem that I have seen a couple of times but
have not been successful in fixing except to rebuild the
entire machine.

Whenever an email with a non-English character set comes
into the inbox, the client freezes when you select that
email. I have installed multilingual support, although
from the documentation I have read this is for editing
not viewing the messages. Nothing I have done seems to
work in fixing this problem.

Any suggestions?
