I run an NT4 network, with Exchange 5.5 - running on
win2k. here's the problem:
Win98 clients running Outlook2000 (from office SBE), when
launching outlook, get a time out message after about 1
minute, they can then click RETRY and it will connect up
fine. This happens every time they start outlook, and only
happens on 98 clients, not 2k or xp. This just started
happening today. It has never happened in the past.
I normally do a windows update every friday, so it's
possible that if there was a critical update released last
week, that caused this, but I don't remember installing
one (of course this would have been very early Friday
morning, and there was a long weekend in between).
I'm guessing that it is not a WINS issue, as all 98
clients are able to ping by netbios name.
Anyone have any thoughts???
