I am also having a problem receiving e-mail using Outlook 2k3. Up until a couple of days ago everything was fine
Nothing has changed on my home network. My wife's e-mail account works fine, and she is using Outlook XP.
I did notice that my ISP (cox), implemented virus-scanning on their e-mail servers, but that should not really affect me
I enabled logging in Outlook, and the only thing I could see is that when Outlook is authenticating against my isp's pop3 server it is transmitting my username but not my password. I checked the log on my wife's machine and it shows both username and password being transmitted
Is there a way around this issue? I really do not want to use another e-mail program, and my ISP "officially" does not support Outlook, so they are no help at all. And yes, all of my settings and authentication parameters are set correctly. Patches and updates are current
Thanks in advance for any help.
