Outlook 2k3 w/cached exchange mode enabled crashing

I am trying to roll out Office 2k3 to the users in my domain. We just
migrated to Exchange 2003 and we can now take advantage of the cached
exchange mode. However, when I perform an automated install of Office,
and then open Outlook, it crashed with an error saying it can't open
the default folders. If I turn cached mode off, then it launches with
no problems. Turn it back on, Outlook crashes.

Also, when I go look at the ForcedPSTPath reg key, it has the following
entry - %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\Archive.pst

If I delete the "archive.pst" part and relaunch Outlook, then it works
with no further issue. However, I can't do this for every user, I need
to fix it as it is being rolled out so there is no issue on the user
end.

Can anyone help? If you need more info, let me know.

Is the ForcePSTPath being set by a domain GPO or in the transform (MST)
file? (The value cannot be set via the Transform file as the installer does
not create the right registry type that allows for the variable
%userprofile% to be expanded correctly.)
