Outlook 3003: html emails recived but being saved as text...why?

i am using outlook 2003.
i am receiving html emails however after opening, their format is being
changed to text...why is this happening now?

no the last box you are talking about is not ticked.

Then I would disable/uninstall all 3rd party applications that integrate,
use, index, protect, .etc Outlook data as it the product just doesn't switch
things w/out reason.
