We have an occasional issue where Outlook 97 will display
attachments as text within the body of a message. These
attachments were inserted by the sender also using Outlook
97, base64 encoding. I can capture the text and paste it
into notepad, save it as a .b64 and open in winzip and the
files are intact, but that's a lot of steps for my users.
Is this a known bug? It only happens occasionally. We are
using Internet Email (SMTP), not exchange. Any thoughts, I
can't find this in the knowledge base specifically for
base64 encoded MIME attachments, only UUEncode is
mentioned.
Thanks,
Cameron
