Outlook 97 in Windws XP

Good day all ...

Using Outlook 97 in Windows XP, it appears to install OK but stops when
first running with an error message stating USER32.dll is faulting. This
happens when Outlook is building the Outlook bar. Anyone know how to get
round this?. Outlook 97 has always run OK in Win XP before but I had to
reinstall XP due to a HD crash.

I am having the same problem, I think. I do not see the User32.dll or any
other message pointing to the problem. I posted a similar request a few
days ago with no answer as yet. I too had to reinstall after a HD problem.
Prior to that, I had no problems with XP and Outlook 97.
