Outlook 97 - Mapisp32 caused fault in minet32.dll

Started getting this error in Outlook 97 when I try to check mail:
Mapisp32 caused an invalid page fault in module minet32.dll. I did some
checking, and did what Microsoft suggests on it's website, replacing
minet32.dll with the file from the Ofice 97 CD. Didn't work. Tried
also replacing mapisp32.exe, didn't work. Reinstalled Office 97, didn't
work. I have 3 different profiles with 3 different email addresses (at
the same ISP). I don't have problems with 2 of them, they can send and
receive email fine. I tried making a new profile for the problem email
address, I get the same error message. Lastly, I made a profile for
this problem email address in Outlook 97 in a different computer - guess
what, same error message. I'm thinking that this must mean there's a
problem with this email address on the ISP's side. If no one has any
other ideas for me to try, I'll give the ISP a call.

If you receive an answer to this problem, please forward it to me. I
have the same problem on several of my computers.

I found that if I delete the internet e-mail client, the LAN mail (post
office) works fine. When I restore the internet e-mail, it fails
again. I also checked the mail on the server--in the old days it was
possible to send corrupt messages that could crash outlook. There are
no corrupt messages on the mail server.

The problem is fixed, although I'm not exactly sure what was causing it. I
think one of the emails on my ISP's server was corrupt. I'm able to read
my email on my ISP's website, so I went there, and deleted the oldest email
(spam, of course). Then I tried to get my email using Outlook, and it
worked. So, problem solved.
