Outlook 98 Old Recurring Reminders

Tony

I have old reminders that keep popping up. When I open
them and try to delete them it gives me an error
message, "the item is missing.....". They're not set as
recurring and I've tried just dismissing them. Does anyone
have any other ideas?

Try starting Outlook using the /cleanreminders switch. Open the Start, Run
dialog and type in it without the quotes but with the space before the
switch: outlook.exe /cleanreminders. Then press Enter. Do this when Outlook
is not running.

Thanks Ken,

I was thinking of trying that but will that clear all
reminders(Pending)? I just wasn't sure exactly what that
command does.

It just forces the hidden Reminders MAPI search folder to rescan all the
items in folders enabled for reminders. You should not lose any valid
reminders.
