Outlook Add-in Sync with external party

I have a Project Server 2007 published with MS ISA 2007 to an external
person that we would like to have participate within projects.

We have an AD account for this user created (same uname and pword,
hoping to use pass-through) and would like for the external party to
use the Outlook Add-in to sync tasks to his local machine. He is an
external party connected to a seperate AD on a different network, is
there a way that get the outlook PWA Add-in to sync tasks from a
different domain and associated PWA?

Sorry but I dont believe that is working. The user will need to use the same
windows authentification ( and AD ) on both Outlook and Project Server.
