Outlook adding appointments

B

Bill

Using Outlook 2007 and vista. Sometimes I get emails from coworkers that
contain an appointment or event and when I open it outlook automatically
adds it to my calendar. How can I prevent this so I can add it if I am
interested. Searched this NG and Google but not finding anything

Thanks
Bill

If you open an appointment, Outlook will always add it as "Tentative" until
you decide to accept it.

only if it's a meeting request (and you don't have to open it). if its an
actual appointment they sent, its only saved if you view it and click Save
and close.

I have tried both decline and delete options, but it still gets added to
calendar

Thanks
