Hi there
I'm using a stand-alone (no connection to an Exchange Server) Outlook 2002 and Outlook Express 6 on my Win2k PC at home. Outlook Express for e-mail, and Outlook for calendar only (just for PST file compatibility with Outlook at my office).
Outlook Express was installed prior to installing Outlook, and therefore Outlook Express was the default email client at that time. Among others, both programs are now registered email clients [HKLM\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail].
Whenever I close Outlook, the program sets itself as the default mail client (of course this doesn't make sense because I'm not using Outlook for mail), also changing the function of the "Send To Mail Recipient" (Explorer Shell, MAPIMAIL) to use Outlook. I then need to set it back to Outlook Express (both, Outlook Express and Internet Explorer's Internet Options provide for that) every time, and that's extremely annoying.
Does anybody have an idea how to set Outlook not to behave that stupid?
Thanks,
Georg Tsamis
