Outlook and ActiveSync

I bought a new PDA and am having an issue with Outlook and MS ActiveSync. I
have a few add-in's (Acrobat, MapPoint and a custom email stationary
program) that do not load when I boot the computer and open Outlook. Turns
out, ActiveSync is opening Outlook in the background not allowing the
add-ins to load. I have to go to Task Manager, stop Outlook, open Outlook to
get my add-ins to work and then start the sync.

So now, I have turned off sync (but it still looks for changes, thus still
opening Outlook in the background), and have to go through this process
every morning or every time I open Outlook.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this so that both can play well
together?

Thanks!

What version of ActiveSync? DId you try the latest (V3.8)? Have you posted
in the ActiveSync newsgroup?

Karl,

Don't know if this will help since I don't know your setup. But here's what
I do.

When I boot up my PC, I first start Outlook without connecting my Smartphone
or starting Activesync. I let Outlook get "established", then I connect my
Smartphone which brings up Activesync.

Yea, but isn't that just a pain...

I found the AS newsgroup.
