outlook and DirecWay email

I am running outlook 2002 and have recently obtained
DirecWay Satellite Internet service. when i configure
outlook for Direcway email, I can send messages but can
not receive. I get no error messages. I have checked the
obvious like making sure my incoming and outgoing mail
servers are correct, correct account names and passwords,
etc. again i get no outlook error messages and the 'test
connection' tool under 'accounts' says everything fine
but I can not receive. when i check the mail on line with
Direcway's web mail i see the messages so i know they are
being sent.

anyone had this experience and have some suggestions on
what to do? thanks

Direcway has server problems on occasion where the emails
won't deliver. I had the service for three years. try
connecting to mail.direcpc.com . I know it sounds weird
to try but it worked for me.

I've had to deal with this. Due to latency and DNS
issues, the server sometimes (often) would not be found.
I replaced the mail server names with their IP addresses
and resolved my issue.
