Outlook and external LDAP

I try to do a query against our IBM LDAP server and if I
search a name like Jones it returns all Js in our
organization. We 200,000 account so as you might guess
the search takes a while to find all the Js. The
advanced search however works quickly and will return the
correct results.

Any Ideas?
