Hello all,
Forgive me if this message seems poorly worded but I'm at a loss for
words primarily stemming from frustration. I had been running GroupWise
as an e-mail client on a desktop system (Win2k) for my work related
e-mail and Outlook 2002 on my laptop (WinXP Pro) for personal e-mail.
Hoping to access my work e-mail I installed GroupWise 6.5 on my laptop
which is the source of the current problem.
Upon my first attempt to start Outlook after the GroupWise installation
Outlook connected to my GroupWise server rather than logging into and
checking mail on the various SMTP servers I had previously configured.
Most annoying was that none of my previous mail/events/task/journal
entries/etc. were viewable!
I quickly uninstalled GroupWise only to have Outlook complain about a
missing "gwmsp1.dll" file which I can only assume is a remnamt of the
GroupWise install. (Google for 'gwmsp1.dll' and you'll see what I mean.)
OK, I thought, I'll just reinstall GroupWise and recreate all of my
previous e-mail accounts then import their previous data from my PST
file. Well now each time I open Outlook I am prompted for the Outlook
Product ID though the opening splash screen clearly states that the
application is licensed to me.
Any assistance you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill
