outlook and groupwise

My company uses GroupWise 6.5.1 and I use Outlook XP
(2002). I have delete messages from server when deleted
checked, and leave message on server checked in Outlook.
I am up to date with service packs. But, I can not
delete messages on the server in outlook I have to use
groupwise to delete. Any ideas?
