Outlook and HP1012 printer

Hi

When I print a message from Outlook to the HP1012 printer, the message seems
to be printed and disappears from the printer queue, but the printer doesn't
print. The red light on the printer is blinking - indicating some kind of
problem or requiring user's attention. If I press the X button on the
printer, the printer would then print.

If I print from Word or Excel, the printer would print normally - no red
light, no pressing button.

Is there something in Outlook that might have caused this ?

Thanks
Steve

Does your manual or HP support say what that blinking light means?
A usual "fix" for HP problems is to first try updated drivers. You can try
that.
Is this for all email in all formats?

Yes, this is all emails in all formats. We tried random messages, and the
red light came on when printing.

I'll see if I can find the manual somewhere. HP online doesn't seem to have
it.

I'll try the driver as you suggested and see how.

Thanks
Steve
