Hi All
I am trying to import the following into Outlook:
BEGIN:VCALENDAR
X-WR-TIMEZONE:America/Los_Angeles
METHOD:REQUEST
PRODID:Microsoft CDO for Microsoft Exchange
VERSION:2.0
BEGIN:VEVENT
DTSTAMP;TZID=America/Los_Angeles:20050825T185620
DTSTART;TZID=America/Los_Angeles:20050825T100000
SUMMARYocumentation Review Meeting
UID:{A6DEF157-DFCE-40F4-AC77-217563191E7B}
ORGANIZER;ROLE=REQ-PARTICIPANT;PARTSTAT=ACCEPTED;RSVP=TRUE:MAILTO:[email protected]
LOCATION:Executive Conference Room
DTEND;TZID=America/Los_Angeles:20050825T110000
SEQUENCE:0
PRIORITY:5
CLASSersonal
CREATED;TZID=America/Los_Angeles:20050825T185620
LAST-MODIFIED;TZID=America/Los_Angeles:20050825T185620
STATUS:CONFIRMED
TRANSP:OPAQUE
X-MICROSOFT-CDO-BUSYSTATUS:BUSY
X-MICROSOFT-CDO-INSTTYPE:0
END:VEVENT
END:VCALENDAR
I am currently in the UK rather than LA so I was hoping to see the LA
timezone have an effect. Alas, Outlook appears to ignore the specified
timezone and interpret the time as UTC instead. This means it appears
in my Outlook calendar incorrectly. I was hoping that Outlook would
read the LA time, convert it to UTC for saving into Exchange and then
present it to me as BST. It appears to be skipping the conversion
between LA time and UTC.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks,
Kulgan.
