I have a problem with a handful of machines on my
network. When they open outlook and click on an email
that has a large attachment (1 meg or larger), outlook
hangs and appears to stop responding. In reality it is
downloading the attachment in the background and forces
outlook to wait until that process is done before allowing
it to respond. This happens when you click on an email.
If you want the attachment that is in that email, you have
to download the attachment again. Is there a way to force
outlook to only download the attachment when you tell it
to? I currently have this problem on windows 2000 sp2
machines with office 2000 sr-1.
