outlook and listserv replies

hi

I know Outlook 2003 has a reply and a reply to all.

My problem is with list serv stuff.

I do not see a way to rpely to the author of an artivcle mailed to a
listserv!

Looking at the headers, I see the list has listed themselves as the
'reply-to:' and the author's email address as the 'to:'. This is correct.

I try to reply to all and get the list server email address, this is
correct. If I try a reply, I STILL get the listserv email address with its
title appended into the TO: box, like:

(e-mail address removed); Test List

And sending this goes to the whole list and a ndr for 'Test List'

This seems to happen to all mail coiming from multiple lists. Any ideas
why? So, how do I force Outlook 2003 to send to the TO: item in the
original message?

I think you'd have to do it manually since Outlook is (correctly I think)
obeying the 'Reply To' field in the header. I've never seen the issue with
the NDRs from the list name, either

Well, most programs, pegasus, even pine on unix, allows you to select the
TO: or REPLY-TO:

And that is really the right way to do it.

So, you are saying the you have to manually copy the From address and do a
reply and take out what Outlook puts in and paster the sender?

That seems pretty draconian, to follow a rule so blatently.
