Outlook and MSN messenger Conflict

I am trying to run MS Outlook from Ogffice 2003 concurrently with MSN
messenger. When both are running the MSN messenger uses 100% of the
Microprocessor. However when each is run indepently (the other being off)
everything is fine.
How do I fix this so both can run concurrently?
