Outlook and or Word

I'm running OL 2002 and Word 2000 in Windows XP proff

When I double click to open a Word attachment from an Outlook e-mail
attachment it always used to open in Word. Now Internet Explorer is opening
the attachment.
Even if I save the attacment to the desktop first and then I try to open it
it still opens in IE

How can I switch back to Word opening Word attachment and not IE?

I’m not sure if this is a Word question or OL question.

Andy,
Find a Word (*.doc) file on your PC> Right click it> Select Open With...>
Select Choose Program (Make sure you do this step)> Select MS Word & Check
box to always use the program for this file type> APPLY/OK.
