Outlook and outlook express don't "do" email

Outlook 2003 amd OE6 suddenly stopped "doing" email. No program changes or
additions. OE gives error Ox800CCC0E Outlook gives 0x80042109.

ISP says settings are correct and automatic testing says the same. Testing
indicates that the server does not recognize my email or passwords.

The firewall was disabled and reinstalled outlook --the problem persists

was unable to remove and reinstall OE

The hardware does not seem to be a problem because my laptop OE6 works fine

What gives?

Did you try logging into the server's web interface using those credentials?
Clearly if bot Outlook and Outlook Express fail on that PC then the problem is
not Outook.
