Outlook and outlook express won't connect to mail server

For some reason on my laptop (dial up account) both Outlook and Outlook
express will not connect to the ISP mail server. An error message tells me I
am not online, though I have connected and happily browsing web pages. Have
tried various settings, with outlook initiating the dial up for the isp, but
nothing seems to work. Any ideas? Thanks

Triple check the server name you have configured in the mail server settings.
