Outlook and the OLK5 folder when saving attachments

I wanted to change my default path when saving attachments from the OLK5
folder located under my temporary internet folder so I followed the microsoft
KB article describing creating the string DefaultPath in the
HKCU>Software>Microsoft>Office>11.0>Outlook>Options. However It still
defaults to the OLK5 folder. Is there any way around this? Thanks for your
time.

does the folder exist before you change the key?
did you restart outlook?

the olk folder is a securetemp folder - if you use Save as after viewing an
attachment, it will most likely default to the folder because it's the last
used folder. When you use Save attachments before opening, they should be
directed to the attachment path - but it does not apply to the securetemp
folder. To change that, you need to use another key.

Hello and thank you for your response.
Yes the folder exists before I change the key and I restarted outlook as
well as the machine.
I used Microsoft article 823131 to change it on another machine and it
worked. But I still have 2 machines to go that this does not work on. Any
ideas?
