Outlook and WebMail not the same

Using exchange server 2003
Outlook 2003
WinXP-sp2

I have a machine where we can get to the mailbox via the web
interface... but the INBOX only shows mail that is unread. The Outlook
client shows mail in the inbox as expected.

There are several folders that have been created in the inbox and
those folders and the mail within them seems to be fine on both the
web and through the client.

Any halp is appreciated.

Thank you for responding -
I went to the computer and looked (it's a teacher's laptop) and yes,
there are some errors in the Conflicts folder.The Local Failures and
Server Failures folders are both empty.
