Outlook Anywhere shows connect to dialog but doesn't get mail

Hello,

I can't get outlook anywhere to work with our work exchange server from home
or a local wireless connection. When I enable outlook anywhere, the connect
to dialog for username and password shows up, but after I enter my details,
it says "Trying to connect to Microsoft Exchange' for 30 seconds before
becoming 'Disconnected'.

I have the settings configured as per
http://www.its.uq.edu.au/helpdesk/guides/email/staff/uqexchhandbook/rpcoverhttp/
(although I have tried a whole variety of different options and checkboxes.)

Outlook works fine when connected into the physical work network or VPNed
from home.

Outlook anywhere works on many other PCs at home (without VPN) and on the
local work wireless network.

I have a Dell laptop running Vista Business SP 1, and Outlook 2007 SP2.

I have tried reseting and disabling IPv6. Most online help refers to changes
you can make to the exchange server but I don't have access to that and many
other PCs work fine anyway.

Any help would be great thanks!
David
